I'm Taking A Break
I'll be checking comments and answering email, just not posting. Have a great Holiday Season and a Happy New Year. See you in 2009.

Taking a break?? Dang, I was planning on buying a couple cases of the Complete Big Orange Landmarks DVD to use as Christmas gifts. Maybe next year. Seriously, though, thanks for all the informative and entertaining posts and best wishes to you for a fine holiday season.
Thanks, Jerry. Same to you and yours.
Double dang. And here I was all geared up to hear about how you were chased out of the Van Nuys Woman's Club building. Which reminds me of this for some reason:
Hackenbush: Well, to begin with I took four years at Vassar.
Mrs. Upjohn: Vassar? But that's a girls' college.
Groucho: I found that out the third year. I'd 've been there yet, but I went out for the swimming team.
Anyway, your hiatus me something to look forward to in our forthcoming aught-nine!
Nathan, I told you about the woman I dated from Vassar? She went to Vassar a little overweight, but left Vassar lean. (Where did I first hear that?)
Triple Dog Dang: Floyd, a break, well deserved. Will await your return. Until then, have a wonderful holiday season and a happy and prosperous new year. Rob
Same to you, Rob. And thanks for all the comments this year.
Enjoy your break, Floyd. You certainly deserve it but you better come back in 2009!
Floyd,
You are so mysterious. I love your beard!
Just found your site, tangent by hour-consuming tangent, starting with Huell Howser and the Norconian Resort Supreme last night on KCET. I'm sure you know about it, if not, must Google it.
Thanks so much for great photos and info. You are now on my Must Visit Blog List.
Love, Figgypudding
Thanks, Figgypudding.
Yes, I've seen that episode of Huell Howser before (and caught the tail-end last night). I hope it's rehabilitated (even with the military base and prison next door).
A well deserved break. Don't want to see you go the way of blogger burn-out. Take care and see you soon. Try getting out of L.A. once in awhile, would ya!
The PA's
Thanks, PAs. I will be heading out of L.A. for the holidays, in fact. All the best to you and yours.
